Chupamobile Raises $400K in Funding

Chupamobile, a marketplace for buying and selling app source code, raised $400k in new funding.

Backers included Boston-based investor Semyon Dukach and other US and European angel investors.

A substantial portion of the funds were raised by via SiamoSoci, an italian network that connects investors and startups (read here).

The company intends to use the funds to enhance platform features and services, marketing and customer support.

Co-founded by CEO Stefano Argiolas and and Paolo De Santis, ChupaMobile is a community marketplace for mobile app components. It allows developers to sell, discover and purchase source code packages and components for mobile development.
The platform supports IOS, Android, Blackberry, operating systems as well as components for framework of developments such as PhoneGap, Corona and Titanium.
