Brand Networks Raises $68M in Growth Financing

Brand Networks, a Boston, MA-based provider of integrated social software solutions and digital marketing services, raised $68m in growth financing.

Private equity firm AEA Investors made a minority investment in the company. In conjunction with the deal, two partners from AEA will be joining Brand Networks’ Board of Directors. Kurt Holstein, a former P&G executive and co-founder and COO of interactive marketing agency Rosetta, which sold to Publicis for $575m in 2011, will join as an independent board member.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development, sales growth and global expansion and make acquisitions.

Founded in 2006 by advertising veteran Jamie Tedford (CEO) and technology entrepreneur Mike Garsin (CTO), Brand Networks is a leading provider of integrated social software solutions and digital marketing services for Fortune 1000 clients including American Express and Starwood Hotels and Resorts. The company has just launched the Social Marketing Stack™, a platform that enables marketers to manage content publishing, applications, ads and social insights. It integrates with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and other social platforms.

Brand Networks, which now has 135 employees across five offices in Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, Rochester and Toronto, is a Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer (sPMD), qualified by the Facebook PMD program, and has received all four Facebook PMD badges.
