Affirmed Networks, an Acton, MA-based provider of network function virtualization solutions, raised $51m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and joined by KCK Group, with participation from current investors (which include Charles River Ventures, Matrix Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners and strategic investors T-Venture and Vodafone Ventures). In conjunction with the funding, Bob Goodman, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, will join the board of directors.
The capital will be used to support multiple deployments and numerous trials worldwide while expanding its carrier-grade virtualization solutions.
Founded in April 2010 and led by Hassan Ahmed, Chairman and CEO, Affirmed Networks Affirmed Networks develops mobile network solutions (the Affirmed Mobile Content Cloud, AN3000®, and Acuitas Service Management System™) designed to simplify mobile networks and mobile subscriber and content management functions.
The company currently has employees located in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Slovenia, Dubai, Japan, and South Korea.
