Twitter Acquires Ubalo

Ubalo, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of a platform that aims to make large-scale computing more accessible to a technical audience, has been acquired by Twitter.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Twitter acquired the technology and he team of Ubalo will join their staff.

Co-founded in January 2011 by Jacob Mattingley, CEO, and Ian Downes, CTO, Ubalo aimed to improve the state of the art technology related to the tools people use to scale beyond one computer by providing a new way of working with large-scale computing.
The solution works by hiding the details of the computers, environments, and messaging, so users can worry much less about integration and scaling and instead write just the code they need for their analysis or processing.
