Polaris Wireless, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of wireless location solutions, completed a $10m Series C financing.
The round was led by Industry Ventures, with participation from Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ). In conjunction with the funding, Industry Ventures Managing Director Victor Hwang joined Polaris’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow internationally.
Led by Manlio Allegra, CEO and Co-founder, Polaris Wireless provides wireless operators, law enforcement/government agencies and location-based application companies with software-based wireless location solutions to enable emergency call applications, lawful and mass location surveillance, and other location-based services.
Customers include twenty-four U.S. wireless carriers, and six managed services partners. The company also has fifteen international deployments.
The company has offices in Dubai, U.A.E., Bangalore, India, London, UK, and Santiago, Chile.
