Compare Metrics, an Austin, TX-based provider of a product decision platform, received $4.2m in first financing.
The round was led by Austin Ventures, with participation from existing investors Mike Maples (Floodgate), Bob Greene (Contour Venture Partners), Julie Allegro (Allegro Venture Partners) and Ralph Mack (Mack Capital), as well as new independent investors Tom Meredith and Adam Ross. Brett Hurt, a veteran technology entrepreneur who currently works with Austin Ventures as a Venture Partner, joined the company as the independent Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to grow operations and adoption among customers.
Co-founded in late 2012 by CEO Garrett Eastham, Chief Strategy Mikael Solomon and CTO Stephen Goodwin, Compare Metrics provides a product discovery platform that aims to give shoppers the tools they need (product information) to simplify online research and make better purchase decisions and real time analytics for retailers to discover customers’ paths and needs, to improve his/her experience and increase revenue.
