AirWatch Raises $25M from Accel Partners

AirWatch, an Atlanta, GA-based Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) provider, raised $25m from Accel Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate global growth, scale their R&D team and support the innovation and adoption of their content collaboration solution, Secure Content Locker.

Led by John Marshall, president and CEO, AirWatch provided a platform that features mobile device and application management and incorporates a content management solution. These tools can be used stand-alone for BYOD requirements or as a comprehensive enterprise-grade mobility platform.
Customers included global companies such as Delta, Lowe’s, United Airlines, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Skanska, PepsiCo, Henry Ford Health System, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Best Buy and Abbott Laboratories.
The platform integrates with technology partners focusing on network access control, identity and certificate management, enterprise wireless LAN management, enterprise architecture integration, managed service providers and unified communications.
Partnerships include Aruba Networks, BMC Software, Cisco, Dimension Data, IBM Global Technology Services, Jeppesen (a Boeing company), Juniper Networks and Siemens Enterprise Communications.
