VisibleBrands, a Kirkland, WA-based operator of an in-store, digital promotions network, raised over $4.6m in financing.
The transaction include close of a Series A Round and a follow-on Series B Convertible Note.
Backers remained undisclosed.
The company intends to use the capital to expanded regional deployment in the second half of 2013, after having completed the development, initial commercial testing and deployment of its network. To support the rollout, it is now building the capacity to scale through channel and managed service providers such as HP, Microsoft and Zebra Technologies.
Led by Timothy Morton, co-founder and CEO, VisibleBrands leverages location-aware wireless networks, cloud-based computing and data-driven marketing to provide a cloud-based in-store, digital promotions network serving coupons, offers and other virtual goods at the time of the purchasing decision.
The company also has offices in San Diego, CA.
