Mention Raises €600K in Funding

Mention, a Paris, France-based startup that allows users to monitor the interwebs for any keyword, raised €600k in funding.

Backers included Point Nine Capital and Alven Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the product, to expand abroad (in the USA), as wel as to hire marketing and sales staff.

Co-founded in 2012 by Edouard De La Jonquiere, CEO, Arnaud Le Blanc, Didier Forest, Thibaud Elzière, and Quentin Nickmans, Mention monitors websites, blogs, Twitter, etc. to collect reactions and mentions and gather them in one place. Users can create alerts on their name, brand, competitors and be informed in real-time about any mention on the web and social web.
It has more than 50,000 users in 46 countries.
The company, which is now looking for a Marketing & Sales Manager (have a look here), intends to hire massively during 2013.
