Leap2, a Kansas City, MO-based search platform provider, raised $1.6m in funding.
The round was led by Dundee Venture Capital, with participation from OpenAir Equity, Linseed Capital and Wichita Technology Corporation.
Led by founder and CEO Mike Farmer, Leap2 provides a mobile search app that add real-time social and local context to search queries. The company’s platform gives search results from a multitude of sources such as tweets, photos, reviews etc.
The app is available on iOS and Android.
The company intends to use the funds to develop a web version of its platform.
