Idea Capital Funds, an Italian investment firm, held the final close for its Idea Energy Efficiency Sustainable Growth Fund (IEEF), at €100m.
Backers of the fund, which launched in November 2010 and held its first close at €51 million in August 2011, include M&C Spa, which recently invested €15.1m, DeA Capital, insurance companies, banks, pension funds, and family offices.
IDEA IEEF focuses on providing growth and buyout capital to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises that produce demonstrated technologies and offer services for energy efficiency and sustainable growth.
Geographically, the fund invests in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Israel.
