Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Andreessen Horowitz have formed an investment syndicate that will provide financing and support to entrepreneurs developing creative ideas around Google Glass.
The firms will assess opportunities related to both services and hardware for Glass and the Google Glass ecosystem. In particular, they are interested in consumer and enterprise innovations that impact areas like messaging, sharing, search, and navigation.
The Glass Collective plans to start making seed investments in the United States and expand in geographies and stages as the platform matures.
Investing partners at Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, or KPCB will jointly review startup pitches related to Glass.
