E-Car Club, a London, UK-based electric car club, raised £215k in funding.
Backers included Sustainable Ventures and Marc Blumenthal, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in up to eight new locations in London and South-East England during 2013.
Founded in September 2011 by Andrew Wordsworth and Christopher Morris, E-Car Club is an entirely electric pay-per-use car club, designed to provide members with access to full-sized electric cars to rent by the hour.
It is currently operating in Milton Keynes and Luton, with hubs now under development in London, Oxford and Bournemouth, and planned throughout the South East.
