Chirpify Raises $2M in Series A Funding

Chirpify, a Portland, Oregon-based social commerce and payments company, raised $2m in an initial close of a Series A round.

The backer was Voyager Capital.

The company, which had raised $1.3m in 2012 (read here), plans to use the new funding to grow its sales and marketing team, and expand its in-stream payments across the social Web.

Led by CEO Chris Teso, Chirpify provides a platform that enables businesses and consumers to buy, sell, pay and fundraise in-stream (with a reply or comment) on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The solution is used by Adidas, Taco Bell, Puma, the Portland Trailblazers, Green Day, Keith Richards, Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg, among others.
