Business Insider Raises $5M in Funding

Business Insider, a NYC-based financial, media, tech business site, raised $5m in funding.

The round was led by Bezos Expeditions, Jeff Bezos’ personal investment firm with participation from existing investors Institutional Venture Partners and RRE Ventures.

The company intends to use the capital to continue to invest in its editorial, technology, and client teams.

Launched in 2007 and led by Dwight Merriman, Kevin Ryan and Henry Blodget, Business Insider is a business site focused on aggregating, reporting, and analyzing news stories related to financial, media, tech, and other industry verticals.
