Brainbow Raises $1M in Seed Funding

Brainbow, a London, UK-based mobile startup that develops educational entertainment games, reportedly raised $1m in seed funding.

Backers included Initial Capital, DN Capital, LVP, Lifeline Ventures, Jaina Capital and angel investors such as Anil Hansjee (former Head of Corporate Development at Google), Frank Sagnier (formerly at EA) and Limvirak Chea (Inmobi). In conjunction with the funding, Shukri Shammas from Initial Capital (ex chairman and co-founder at Playfish) and David Gardner from LVP (former COO at EA and CEO at Atari) will join the company’s board. Erick Tseng, Head of Mobile Products at Facebook, joined the advisory board.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team (read here) and has already added Herve Piton as Art Director, and Bertrand Lamarque as Engineering Director.
Led by CEO Itamar Lesuisse, COO Sagi Shorrer, Chief product officer Xavier Louis, CTO Gerald Goldstein, Brainbow has already released two apps: Brainbow Numbers and 6 Numbers, which are available on the Apple Store.
