Bitium Raises $2.4M in Seed Funding

Bitium, a Venice Beach, California-based provider of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) operating system to handle the authentication and authorization of cloud-based software, raised $2.4m in seed funding.

The round was led by Mike Hirshland of Resolute VC, with participation from:
Alex Bard (Desk.com);

Hiten Shah (KISSmetrics);
Sean Ellis (Qualaroo);

Founded in 2012 by Scott Kriz and Erik Gustavson, Bitium provides an operating system to handle the authentication and authorization of cloud-based software, to consolidate messaging so teams can turn off email alerts, and to bookmark and share deep links into apps.
A recent graduate of LA accelerator Amplify, Bitium has currently integrated with over 300 Web apps like Gmail, Salesforce and Yammer, and has added 30 beta customers to date.
The company has offices in Malaysia and Singapore.
