Scoot & Doodle, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a real time, social creativity platform, closed a $2.25m seed funding.
Backers included Silicon Valley angel investors and learning company Pearson.
Scoot & Doodle also plans to add top talent to the team and continue work on its cross-device platform.
Led by Christine Egy Rose, CEO, Scoot & Doodle is a real time, social creativity platform that allows classmates to play with ideas, create stories, draw, discuss, and solve problems together and learn critical learning and innovation skills via a peer collaboration, social community and open-ended design.
The company intends to use the capital to further expand its user reach and deploy its platform across multiple devices, including mobile. Scoot & Doodle on Hangouts, the company’s first product, is a popular app inside Google+ Hangouts.
