Oktogo.ru, a St. Petersburg, Russia-based online hotel reservations company, raised $11m in venture capital funding.
Backers included Mangrove Capital Partners, Ventech and Victor Sazhin Group. In conjunction with the funding, Victor Sazhin joined Oktogo’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to for brand building and development in Russia.
Led by Marina Kolesnik, founder and CEO, Oktogo.ru is an online hotel reservations agency which is designed specifically for Russian travelers.
It offers over 5,000 hotels in Russia and over 250,000 hotels worldwide.
