Neuberger Berman Group LLC closed its second global private equity co-investment fund, at $1.1 billion.
NB Strategic Co-Investment Partners Fund II LP, which was oversubscribed, surpassing its target of $750m, was supported by more than 25 institutional clients including public pension plans, global asset managers, endowments and foundations, corporate pension plans, and insurance companies.
Investors are based globally, including Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America.
The fund, which has made nine investments to date for approximately $185m, is building a diversified portfolio of strategic co-investments primarily in buyouts and growth financings on a global basis across multiple industries.
It is led by managing director David Stonberg.
