Joyride Raised $1M in Seed Funding

Joyride, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of mobile app for drivers, raised $1m in seed funding.

Backers included Freestyle Capital and Cowboy Ventures, as well as angel investor Seth Goldstein, who also serves as Joyride Executive Chairman of the Board.

The initial investment will be used for hiring purposes to build out the engineering team.

Co-founded by CEO Jeff Chen and James Zhang, Joyride is developing a voice-activated solution that lets people make social connections through hands-free mobile apps – Music, Audio literature, Trivia, Educational apps, and other games – without taking their hands off the steering wheel or eyes away from the road.
