GreenLancer Raises $275K in Funding

GreenLancer, a Detroit, MI-based green engineering startup, raised $275k in initial funding.

Backers include Bizdom, Start Garden, Blue Water Angels and Northern Michigan Angels.

The company intends to use the funds to support its growth plan.

Co-founded in 2010 by Michael Sharber and Patrick McCabe, GreenLancer provides a platform and standardized services to assist contractors in developing and designing solar electric systems.
Services include online technical documents, engineering services and financial modeling support for contractors’ use in proposing, developing and designing solar electric systems.
The company has provided systems engineering work as subcontractors on projects for clients like General Motors, DTE Energy, Occidental Oil and the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan.
GreenLancer recently added five full-time staff.
