Persado, a New York City-based developer of data-driven marketing software, raised $15m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures.
The company intends to use the capital to expand sales and marketing efforts, increase R&D and establish a headquarters in New York City.
Founded by CEO Alex Vratskides, Persado provides Internet consumer marketers, including Fortune 500 clients in the telecom, financial services, retail, and gaming sectors, with a SaaS marketing persuasion platform, which applies advanced statistical techniques to large datasets in order to generate and test a large number of digital messages and determine the most powerful language to improve response rates and conversion for a given offer. It typically integrates with customer’s CRM, content, and advertising platforms.
Customers included Wix.com, Skype, Badoo, and TIM Brazil, among others.
