Inverted Edge Raises over SGD$2M in Funding

Inverted Edge, a Singapore-based online fashion retailer, raised over SGD$2m (approximately USD$1.6m) in initial funding.

Backers included the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF), Incuvest Pte Ltd, an NRF-supported Technology Incubation Scheme incubator, Accel-X Pte Ltd and four other undisclosed private investors.

The company intends to use the capital to develop an online fashion shopping experience featuring a curated Ready-to-Wear collection from Asia Pacific’s independent designers.

Led by Debra Langley, CEO and Founder, Inverted Edge works as a one-stop fashion retail advocate, which provides input on seasonal collections and price points, builds brand awareness through global marketing campaigns, and prepars products to be featured on the site. It manages customer enquiries, and sales and logistics, freeing designers from all the complexities of selling online.
The site will launch in March 2013.
