DataXu, a Boston, MA-based provider of digital marketing software for the enterprise, raised $27m in financing.
The round was led by Thomvest Ventures, with participation from existing investors Atlas Venture, Flybridge Capital Partners and Menlo Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Thomvest Managing Director Stefan Clulow joins DataXu’s board.
The company intends to use the capital to expand globally and further develop its technology.
Led by Mike Baker, CEO, DataXu provides a cloud based solution that leverages data and analytics to help enterprise marketers better understand and engage consumers, and optimally manage marketing investments for customer acquisition strategies.
With 11 offices in eight countries (read here), the company services more than 700 brands across the globe.
