BTI Systems Raises $10M in Series C Funding

BTI Systems, an Ottawa, Canada-based provider of intelligent networking software and systems that allow content and service providers to optimize network resources and accelerate new service deliverys, raised $10m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from existing investors BDC, Covington Capital and GrowthWorks.

Led by President and CEO Steve Waszak, BTI Systems delivers solutions for Cloud Networking, Mobile Backhaul, Ethernet Business Services, Data Center Interconnect, and Metro Networking applications. The company, which serves more than 350 customers globally, intends to use the capital to scale operations and accelerate the delivery of its just unveiled Intelligent Cloud Connect.

To continue to grow, BTI also appointed Thomas Nolette as senior vice president of global operations.

The company also has offices in Boston, U.S., Palo Alto, CA, Belfast, UK, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore, and Shanghai and Wuhan, China.
