AirWatch, an Atlanta, GA-based global provider of mobile device security and Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) technology, closed a $200m Series A equity financing.
The round was led by Insight Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to fund strategic acquisitions, accelerate global growth and drive innovation and adoption of its content collaboration solution, Secure Content Locker™.
Founded in 2003 by John Marshall, president and CEO, and Alan Dabbiere, AirWatch provides a platform that features mobile device management, application management and secure content management solutions, which can be used stand-alone for BYOD requirements or as a comprehensive, enterprise-grade mobility platform.
Clients include global energy, airlines, pharmaceutical, consumer product, and luxury goods companies, global hotel groups, U.S. retailers, and medical device companies.
