ParkMe Raises Funding

ParkMe, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based provider of database and analytics software solution for on-street and off-street parking locations and availability, raised a funding of undisclosed amount.

Backers included Los Angeles-based private equity firm Angeleno Group and existing investors Fontinalis Partners and IDG Ventures.

The company intends to use the new funds to expand internationally while continuing to grow its in the U.S.

In conjunction with the investment, Daniel Weiss, Managing Partner & co-founder of Angeleno Group, joined ParkMe’s board of directors.

Founded by CEO Sam Friedman and Alex Israel, ParkMe provides drivers with dynamic and real-time parking data, analytics and services via mobile and digital devices including smartphones and in-car navigation systems. Its parking database and analytics software include more than 25,000 worldwide locations in more than 500 cities serving an estimated population of 235 million drivers in 19 countries and three continents.
