A portfolio company of the Frankel Commercialization Fund and a University of Michigan spinoff, Arbor Photonics offers an optical fiber technology that provides high power laser solutions that increase productivity for advanced laser materials processing and defense applications. The company’s technology originated within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)
Arbor Photonics, which was led by Phillip Amaya, a 20-year veteran of the laser industry, has been backed by the Frankel Commercialization Fund, RPM Ventures, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Wolverine Venture Fund.
