Codelearn Raises $150K in Equity Funding

Codelearn, a Bangalore, India-based code learning platform, raised $150k in equity funding.

The backer was the French angel investor Kima Ventures, which also acquired a minority stake in the company.

Codelearn intends to use the capital to increase the number of the courses in their platform and expand marketing efforts.

Launched in July 2012 by Hemanth Haridas, the company provides programmers and non-programmers with a platform to learn different programming languages via courses and an interactive development tool inside the web browser.

According to reports, it is currently in public beta with 2,500 registered users,  who are offered a Ruby on Rails app development environment (see here how it works).
