AppDynamics Raises $50M in Series D Financing
AppDynamics Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an Application Performance Management solution that simplifies the management of complex apps, raised $50m in Series D financing.
The round was led by new investor Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), with participation from existing investors Greylock Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to expand into the global enterprise market, increase investment in R&D, and accelerate hiring.
Founded in 2008 and led by Jyoti Bansal, CEO, Joe Sexton, President of Worldwide Field Operations, and Ed Rowe, Senior Vice President of Engineering, AppDynamics provides an application performance management solution that simplifies the management of complex, business-critical apps.
Customers include AMICA Insurance, Cornell University, Hotels.com, Insight Technologies, Netflix, Priceline, StubHub, Staples, and TiVo.
The company currently has more than 200 employees in San Francisco, UK, France, and Germany.
