ZipDial, a Bangalore, India-based provider of a mobile marketing platform, recently raised an undisclosed amount of funding.
Backers included Times Internet and 500 Startups.
The company intends to use the capital to expand internationally.
Co-founded by CEO Valerie Rozycki Wagoner, Chairman Sanjay Swamy and COO Amiya Pathak, ZipDial provided advertisers (businesses, individual celebrities, NGOs, etc.) with a mobile platform to engage with consumers for content update, feedback, opinion polls, interactive quizzes, credential verification, pledges, etc.
It is used by brands such as mChek, Zapak.com, eBay, Ketera, Xerox, Cadbury, ICICI, Kotak Bank, Gillette, GreenPeace, etc.
