The company intends to use the capital to develop products for mobile and tablet markets.

Launched in 2008 and led by Rob Baxter, CEO, Validity has developed fingerprint sensor technology that enables authentication, mobile payments, and touch-based navigation for applications ranging from invisible, under-glass sensors for smartphones, buttons for handsets and tablets and thin palm-rest designs for Ultrabook(TM) computers.
