OutSmart Power Systems Raises $1.5M in Funding

OutSmart Power Systems, a Natick, MA-based manufacturer of a solution for monitoring electrical usage at the circuit-level, has raised $1.5m in funding.

Backers include unnamed venture investors.

The company intends to use the capital for product development and commercialization efforts.

Led by Kevin Johnson, CEO and Founder, OutSmart Power Systems provides a complete system for low-cost energy monitoring that can be installed in any building using existing wiring. Electrical data is collected at a hub and then sent to the cloud where it can be monitored and analyzed to evaluate specific equipment and facility performance. OutSmart products can be used to verify energy improvements, identify areas of waste, and help predict faulty or failing equipment.
