Footfall123 Raises £1.7M in Series A Funding

Footfall123, a London, UK-based start-up that provides social media marketing solutions, has raised £1.7m in Series A funding, multiple reports said.

The company intends to use the capital to expand abroad and enlarge its portfolio of products.

Backers include venture capital firms Samos Investments and Venrex, and angels Adrian Lloyd and Ed Wray, among others.

Founded by Ben Chesser, Footfall123 provides retail and leisure companies (restaurants, pubs & bars, retail shops, hairdressers and beauty salons) with a platform to create, manage and monitor marketing campaigns. Its flagship platform, Social Rockets, allows them to give their Facebook fans access to deals and discounts directly in their newsfeeds. The company also offers Footfall toolbox, a solution for integrated marketing propositions.
Footfall123, which also has offices in Barcelona, Spain, has a portfolio of over 3,000 UK and international clients including Greene King, L’Oreal, and Byron Hamburgers restaurants.
