Urban Remedy Raises $1M in Seed Funding


Urban Remedy, a Los Angeles-based provider of fresh pressed juice and nutrition-based drinks, snacks and meals, has raised $1m in a seed funding.

Backers include Science, Inc., and a group of angel investors with experience in the beverage industry.

Founded by CEO Neka Pasquale, a certified Traditional Chinese Nutritionist, acupuncturist, healer, and entrepreneur, Urban Remedy targets people who are lacking weekly nutrition, or feeling tired, ill, stressed, overweight or overloaded with rich foods and alcohol.
Its juice serving is packed with hand-pressed, raw, and organic fruits and veggies. Snacks are gluten, grain, white sugar, and dairy-free. meal replacements aim to fill consumers up with protein, foods, fruits, and vegetables.
The company has just launched nationally.
