On The Run Tech, a Los Angeles-based newly formed startup that specializes in building mobile apps that allows users to create customized physical products from their mobile device, has launched with $1.3m in seed funding.
Backers include Selena Gomez, a creative advisor to the company, Crosslink Capital, Crosscut Ventures, Siemer Ventures, Miramar Venture Partners, Newport Coast Investments, Double M Capital and other individual investors.
Founded in 2011 by Josh Brooks, CEO, On The Run Tech operates:
Postcard on the Run, a mobile app that lets users snap a picture and send it through the mail as a real photo postcard to anyone, anywhere in the world
Run With It SDK, a monetization platform and marketing tool for brands and app developers
Postal Gopher, a postal address retrieval service, and
Casetomize, the next-to launch mobile app that allows users to create customized phone cases for Android and iOS devices directly from their phone.
