Peerby, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based platform that allows users to find items in their neighborhood to borrow, has raised an undisclosed amount of venture capital funding from SanomaVentures.
The company intends to use the capital to further develop and to reach a broader audience.
Founded by Daan Weddepohl, Peerby has developed a mobile and online app that enables users to rent and borrow stuff from people in their neighborhood.
The company, which is an Amsterdam Founder Institute graduate, is currently working on an English version of the service.
