EarlySense Raises $15M

EarlySense, a Ramat Gan, Israel and Waltham, MA, USA-based developer of patient monitoring systems, has raised $15m in a financing round.

The round was led by Pitango Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors JK&B, ProSeed VC Fund, Docor International Management and Bridge Investment Fund.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to expand its global sales and development and clinical research efforts.

Founded in 2004 and led by CEO Avner Halperin and President Tim O’Malley, EarlySense is bringing to market a continuous, contact-free, patient monitoring solution that monitors and documents a patient’s vital signs and movement using a sensor that is placed underneath the bed.
The system is currently installed at hospitals and rehabilitation centers in the USA and Europe.
