Big River, a Cleveland, OH-based online fundraising platform for nonprofit organizations, has raised $250k in funding from JumpStart Inc.
The company intends to use the capital for product development, marketing and sales efforts to expand beyond arts and cultural institutions.
Led by Ron Cass, Founder and President, Big River provides nonprofit organizations with a cloud-based fundraising platform which enables nonprofits to present more targeted appeals and develop more meaningful relationships with constituents via the Web, email and social media. Users include Lorain County Metro Parks and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
In early 2012, the company received funding and support from nonprofit Bizdom, an entrepreneurship accelerator focused on creating startups in the urban cores of Cleveland and Detroit.
