AlphaStripe, a Scottsdale, AZ-based student-led startup that operates an online networking platform for veterans, military service members, and military families, has raised an angel funding from Tempe’s new MAC6 incubator.
The amount of the funding remained undisclosed. The company recently received grant funding from IBM.
Co-founded by Eli Chmouni, CEO, and Jason Brown, Military Relations Officer, AlphaStripe allows allow users to document their military experiences and legacies in videos and photos. The main areas of the website are open to the public with secure areas available to veterans to allow private sharing of stories and the ability to reconnect with old comrades. The startup has developed a comprehensive military database for the US armed forces dating back to World War II.
