AdNear Raises $6.5M in Series A Funding

AdNear, a Singapore and Bangalore, India-based mobile advertising platform, has raised $6.5m (Rs 35 crore) in Series A funding.

Backers include Sequoia Capital and Canaan Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to expand into the APAC region and to hire new people (http://adnear.com/careers).

Led by Anil Mathews, founder and CEO, AdNear provides a location-based mobile advertising platform that supports both feature and smart phones supporting major brands and advertisers (including Toyota, Titan, Ford, PizzaHut, Samsung, Airtel, and Nokia) in their effors to reach local audience across India, Singapore, Australia, and other Asia-Pacific countries. Targeting parameters include latitude-longitude, neighborhood, or points of interests.
