42Floors Raises $5M in Series A Funding

42Floors, a San Francisco, CA-based search platform for commercial real estate, has raised $5m in Series A funding.

Listed backers on AngelList include Dave McClure, Bessemer Venture Partners, Thrive Capital, Dharmesh Shah, Chris Dixon, Alexis Ohanian, Nat Turner, Barry Silbert, David Tisch, David Lee, Garry Tan, Felix Shpilman, Kal Vepuri, Eric Paley, Adam Rothenberg, Zach Weinberg, Dave Eisenberg, Alex Bangash, Jonathan Siegel, David Vivero, Frank Caufield, Elizabeth Hart, Seth Lieberman, Daniel Wolfson, Jeffrey Zwelling, Bob Ghoorah, Casey Berman, Alex Bresler.

The company is using the capital to hire engineers (http://42floors.com/jobs) and expand nationwide.

Founded in 2011 by Jason Freedman, James Bracy, Jon Bracy, and Ben Ehmke, 42Floors is a YCombinator startup that aims to make it easy to search office space rentals and commercial real estate listings by indexing business places for rent, coworking spaces, office sublets, and executive suites (see how it works here).
