UWI Label, an Edinburgh, Scotland, UK-based technology startup, has raised £572k in funding.
Backers include:
– Scottish Enterprise (£250k),
– AeroDen – a US private investor syndicate, which includes Chairman Douglas Cribbes (£254k), and
– two UK-based private investors (£68k).
The company intends to use the capital to accelerate product development.
Led by founder and CEO Pete Higgins, UWI Label has developed technology that warns when products (in sectors such as medicines, aerospace, cosmetics, food and drink) are about to expire.
