Tictail, a Swedish start-up provider of a platform that allows users to create an online stores, has raised €1.2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Balderton Capital and Klaus Hommel, with participation from Gustav Söderström and Fredrik Nylander.
The company intends to use the funding to expand in Europe (mainly in the Nordic countries, Germany and UK), and continue to develop its offering.
Launched in May 2012 by Carl Waldekranz, CEO, Birk Nilson Chief Architect, Kaj Drobin, Designer, and Siavash Ghorbani, CTO, Tictail allows users to create an online store and provides them with tools to manage orders, promote new items on social media channels, SEO advice and CRM-support.
