Sharethrough Raises $5M in Series B Funding

Sharethrough, a San Francisco, CA-based video advertising company, has raised $5m in Series B funding.

Backers include existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Floodgate (read here).

The company intends to use the funding to expand the adoption and accelerate development of its technology platform.

Co-founded in 2008 by CEO Dan Greenberg, and CTO Rob Fan, Sharethrough provides video advertising technology solutions that allow brands and their agencies to maximize social engagement for their original video content, and social web publishers to create native, non-interruptive brand video placements. In September 2012, the company released Sharethrough Sponsored Videos, which is a technology platform that enables web and mobile publishers to integrate premium native video ad placements into their existing content experience.

Sharethrough also added former Auditude CRO Mike Gaffney as its new Chief Revenue Officer, and James Navin, formerly SVP, Operation at Federated Media, as Vice President of Strategic Operations.

The company is currently hiring (http://www.sharethrough.com/careers/).
