The Rainmaker Group, an Atlanta, GA-based provider of revenue management and profit optimization solutions to the multifamily housing and gaming/hospitality industries, has raised $33.8m in equity funding.
The minority investment was made by investment firm Norwest Venture Partners (NVP).
The company intends to use the capital to expand its sales force, enhance its product portfolio and further develop new analytics and big data solutions.
In conjunction with the funding, Jon Kossow and David Su from NVP, have joined Rainmaker’s board of directors.
Led by Tammy Farley, co-founder, principal and president, Rainmaker provides its clients in the multifamily housing and gaming/hospitality industries a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenue management and pricing analytics software, which combines proprietary algorithms, big data and profit optimization technology.
Multifamily housing clients include Archstone, AvalonBay Communities, Equity Residential, Gables Residential, Post Properties and MAA. Gaming/hospitality customers include Atlantis The Palm Dubai, Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International, Omni Hotels & Resorts and Wynn Las Vegas.
