NGDATA, a Gent, Belgium-based consumer intelligence solutions company, has closed $2.5m in funding.
Backers include ING, Sniper Investments, Plug and Play Ventures and undisclosed U.S. angel investors.
The company intends to use the capital for product development and innovation as well as to grow worldwide. As part of this expansion, it has established offices in San Francisco and just outside New York City to serve its U.S.-based customers.
Led by Luc Burgelman, CEO, NGDATA provides a software solution, lilyTM, that combines internal and external structured and unstructured data from point of sale (POS) systems, enterprise applications, social media sites, etc., into one platform, to make consumer insights actionable for businesses.
NGDATA’s lily is a consumer intelligence solution that uniquely combines an easy-to-use, interactive Big Data management platform and consumer intelligence application. It is already in use by financial services, news/media and retail companies worldwide.
