NantHealth LLC, a Los Angeles, CA-based company focused on delivering next-generation care, has received an equity investment from Verizon Investments LLC, a subsidiary of Verizon Communications.
The amount of the funding was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the capital to accelerate innovation.
Founded by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, CEO, NantHealth aims to to leverage advanced fiber network, cloud computing and wireless mobile technology to build an integrated evidence-based, genomically-informed, personalized approach to the delivery of care and the development of next generation diagnostics and therapeutics.
The company is owned by NantWorks LLC.
