LeadSift, a Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada-based developer of software enabling sales and marketing professionals to identify, pursue and engage leads efficiently, has raised $500K in funding.
The financing includes $250k from Innovacorp, and $250k from East Valley Ventures Inc., and angel investors.
The company intends to use the funding for a closed beta launch early next month. The public launch is scheduled for early 2013.
Co-Founded by CEO Tapajyoti Das, CTO Hatem Nassrat, COO Sreejata Chatterjee, and CIO Daniel Allen, LeadSift is developing a solution designed to help sales and marketing professionals identify and pursue business leads more efficiently. Its proprietary technology analyzes chatter from social media streams such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and blogs, and turns the data into targeted local leads for sales.
Global cloud-computing company Salesforce recently integrated LeadSift’s product into its social marketing cloud offering.
